The Hawaiian Punch Guy—“Punchy”—was created in 1961. He was drawn by artist Martin Mandelblatt of ad agency Atherton-Privett. Punchy’s first television commercial was in 1962. Punchy is still being used today to promote Hawaiin Punch.
