It does make some plane engine sounds as well as machine gun fire. Either when called or by pressing the 'Test' button.

If your provider no longer supports rotary telephones or pulse dialing this will not work without a pulse to tone converter.  You can add a pulse to tone converter as an option when you order this phone.

As an alternative, we provide an option to use this phone as an extension of your cell phone. The XLink Bluetooth gateway will allow you to make and receive calls using a vintage rotary dial cellular through a Bluetooth connection to your cell phone. It also supports Rotary telephones, so a pulse to tone converter is not required

If you don't have regular landline phone service, we provide an option to use this phone as an extension of your cell phone. The XLink Bluetooth gateway will allow you to make and receive calls using a vintage rotary dial phone through a Bluetooth connection to your cell phone. Note - the XLink supports both pulse and tone dialing.
