Stromberg Carlson 1250 Wall Phone, Fully refurbished, and ready to work on modern phone lines. Comes with 7' line cord with modular plug.

The Stromberg Carlson 1250 is a great example of 1940s design. Introduced as a direct competitor to the Western Electric 354, the 1250 has a distinctive design that sets it apart from other phones of the era.. Like the 354, the 1243 contains the ringer and induction coil within the phone thereby eliminating the need for a separate subscriber set or bell box that was common in earlier phones. Stromberg Carlson was a major telephone manufacturer located in Rochester, New York. They produced not only subscriber sets, but also telephone switching equipment, and home electronics such as radios and televisions. This Model 1250 has a Bakelite housing that has been carefully cleaned and polished to restore the phone to its original appearance. The Bakelite handset has been lovingly buffed to bring out a factory fresh high-gloss shine, and the dial has been meticulously overhauled to ensure that it will give years of trouble free service. This phone has been completely tested and is ready to plug into modern phone lines.

The Restoration Process

Dial – The dial has been fully disassembled, cleaned, lubed and timed to ensure years of trouble free service. The number plate has been cleaned and hand polished. A brand new plastic fingerwheel and die cut dial card have been added as well

Cords – The phone has been outfitted with brand new cords.

Shell – The shell is them carefully buffed on our two step buffing wheels leaving a beautiful high gloss finish.

Handset – Handset has been buffed with the same process as the shell and buffed back to its beautiful original shine.

The phone goes through extensive testing before to ensure it is in perfect working condition prior to shipping.

Do you currently have any rotary phones? If the answer is no, it is always a good idea to call your local phone company and check if they still support “pulse” dialing. If they do, you are all set to go. If they do not, your phone will not be able to place calls without a converter. We have internal converters for this type of setup available for $79.95 (installed during assembly)

- Dials * and # from your rotary phone to access computerized services.
- Use legacy equipment on tone-only lines.
- Compatible with VOIP services.
- Provides last number redial functionality.
- Adds 7 programmable speed dial locations

As an alternative, we provide an option to use this phone as an extension of your cell phone. The XLink Bluetooth gateway will allow you to make and receive calls using a vintage rotary dial through a Bluetooth connection to your cell phone.
